Guidelines for Proper Handling and Maintenance of Medical Tools
- For exclusive use by specialized medical staff
- Improper use or inadequate maintenance may rapidly damage tools
- Thorough cleaning after each use with warm water, disinfection, rinsing (preferably with distilled water), and careful drying
- Sterilization before the next use is mandatory
- Use specialized ultrasonic tanks or tool washers (maximum 95°C/203°F) for effective cleaning and disinfection
- Apply physiologically safe oil to tips, connectors, terminals, and movable parts after cleaning and before sterilizing
- Avoid contact with acids or aggressive disinfectants to prevent corrosion
- Recommend autoclave with steam (cycle temperature not exceeding 135°C/275°F for 15 minutes) for sterilization
- Warm air sterilization at 180-200°C is suitable
- Tools cleaning machines can sterilize products at temperatures up to 121°C
